Product Information

Pest Expert Formula ‘P’ is a carpet beetle powder that provides a rapid knockdown all of stages of the lifecycle of a carpet beetle as it can reach the eggs that harbour in the fibres of carpets. It contains the powerful insecticide Permethrin (0.5% w/w), which is a broad-spectrum ingredient that is capable of treating infestations of other flying and crawling insects. The Formula ‘P’ is ideal for an application of insecticide to areas that aren’t suitable for spraying, such as around electrical appliances and power sockets.

The 300g pack of Formula ‘P’ Powder treats up to 25m² and a single application should be sufficient for a successful treatment of carpet beetles. It is important to note, however, that if the infestation has spread or is quite large, it may need another application for complete eradication.

Directions for use

Formula ‘P’ Powder should be sprinkled evenly onto carpets. For areas damaged by carpet beetles, a more liberal application should be carried out in addition to areas under heavy furniture and around the edges of the room which tend to be popular area for the beetles to lay eggs. In areas where the powder could be disturbed, such as in rooms that pets or children have access to or in hallways, it is advisable to leave the powder for approximately 30 minutes before vacuuming it up. In other areas, the powder can be left for several weeks as a long-term insecticide for more effective control.

Recommendations

Treatment using Formula ‘P’ Powder should be followed with the use of our Pest Expert Formula 'C' Carpet Beetle Spray to provide longer-lasting residual protection in areas in which the powder cannot be left down.
