Product Information PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY Rodent glue boards should only be used by people who are required to use this type of rodent control as part of their work and who have received appropriate information, instruction and training. Currently it is not an offence under the Glue Traps (Offences) Act 2022 to purchase or to sell rodent glue traps in the UK. Restrictions may be imposed in future and if they are then this guidance will change. Use of rodent glue boards in Wales by any type of user was made illegal from 17th October 2023.
Variously described as rat glue traps, rat glue boards and sticky rat traps, this product is the fastest way to get rid of rats in your home or business. Unlike other methods of rodent control, which rely on rats taking bait, rat glue boards simply trap rats as they run over them and become stuck to the extra-strong adhesive.
Glue traps for rats are ideal for use in situations where rats have an alternative food source and so poison is not taken or where the use of baiting is unsuitable; for example, restaurants, bakeries, shops and food processing plants. As well as being widely used in professional and commercial contexts, rat sticky boards are now also becoming more popular for domestic use, again in areas where perhaps rat poisons cannot be tolerated, or in flats or terraced houses where rodents are often travelling through.
Their virtually non-drying adhesive means that these Rat Glue Boards can remain effective for months in normal conditions, and their special folding design means they can be stored during the day and then re-laid overnight. (Approx shelf-life of 12 months).
Directions for use
Rats do not have very good eyesight, so tend to feel their way around the edges of an area. For best results glue boards should be placed around the edges of a room or against walls etc. In addition, they can also be placed anywhere that rat droppings or other activity has been noticed.
Recommendations
When using glue traps as a method of rodent control, to comply with the Animal Welfare Act 2006 you must check them at least twice every 24 hours and ensure they are inaccessible to non-target species. Upon discovery of a caught mouse or rat, please be sure to dispatch captured rodents as quickly and humanely as possible.

Very efficient
I purchased these as standard rat traps didn't really work on rat infestation we have on our loft!
We had instant kill traps, we had cages, ultrasonic repellent toys, poison...those boards were game changer for us. We put them on the loft and bang! Checked after first night and 2 rats got caught on 1 board. Same thing night after. These really work and somehow rats can't distinguish these boards are bad for them. Happy with them, REALLY prompt delivery, they DO work as expected! (Hence we bought more)
Having paid for pest control to come out twice before and with that garnishing no success, I decided to take things into my own hands as these blighters had chewed through a water pipe (twice!) and we’re making a racket in my loft! I’m so glad I found these rat glue boards. I stupidly didn’t read the instructions on the first three I put down and didn’t use glove (to hide my scent) however, I put three close together, near where they run around... took 3days (resist urge to move it) and then success! Caught a little one... replaced the board with a new one, using gloves this time, and my fears about the boards not being able to deal with big rats was completely quashed! Next night a massive rat was stuck fast!... I repositioned the boards for the next night... and got a double whammy! Another two down! Living next to fields etc is lovely but such a bloody pain... I’m glad I bought these traps and think I will be purchasing some more soon. Reassuring product that does what it says on the packet!! (Just wish it came with a pop up person who helps to dispose of them as that but isn’t very nice!!) Speedy delivery, great price. Thank you! (Wish I could upload pic to prove they work as i think it would help... especially If you are like me...I was sceptical at first as I need to see results to believe good reviews!... or maybe it’s just me!!!
All delivered in a very quick time- products look good and confirm they appear to be very sticky - as to whether they are effective unknown at present as haven't caught anything, however haven't had any sightings of the rat either so perhaps it acts as a prevention as well as a cure, and the word has got around that the traps are down - oh well have been down for a bit and might as well stay down for a bit longer as I haven't trod on them yet so not doing any harm.

Very effective, I would particularly recommend the glue boards. We have had a major rat problem for many years, living on the edge of the city, end terrace Edwardian house etc. Finally, we seem to be making inroads. I do wish we'd been aware of these products a long time ago!
